Bike Touring Highlight
The districts Kobern and Gondorf are located on the left bank of the Moselle about 17 kilometers from Koblenz and about 33 kilometers from Cochem. Neighboring communities are moselaufwärts Lehmen and moselabwärts Winningen. On the other side of the Moselle lie Niederfell and Dieblich.
Kobern and Gondorf lie on the impact slope of the Dieblicher Moselbogen on the alluvial surface of several streams discharging from the Maifeld and on the slope ascending to the Maifeld. Due to the low altitude, the historic center of Kobern is often affected by flooding.
