The Prado National Museum, which celebrated its bicentennial in 2019, presides over one of the most visited tourist itineraries in the capital: the Paseo del Arte. In addition to Velázquez's Las Meninas and Goya's The Executions of May 3, in its rooms you can see masterpieces of the Spanish, Italian and Flemish schools. You need more than 1 day to see the entire Museo del Prado: around six thousand paintings and sculptures are on display.

The collection consists largely of work by Italian, Flemish and Spanish masters, including the beautiful Las Meninas by Velazquez. You will also find works of art by other big names such as Goya, El Greco, Rubens, Hieronymus Bosch and Rembrandt.
