In Iserlohn, partly below the A45 motorway, is the Seilersee reservoir, officially the Callerbachtalsperre. The lock previously served to supply the sewage treatment plant with fresh water, and after it closed it became a local recreation area in the city.
Along the lake (circular hiking trail) there are opportunities to stop for refreshments as well as sport options such as the Seilerseebad, ice rink, boat rental, mini golf, etc.
