    A beautiful path named in honor of Dr.-Karl Bäßler. He was a member of the main board of the PWV and chairman of Pollichia, a nature conservation association in Rhineland-Palatinate. In his honor, two knight stones were named after him at the beginning and at the end of the hiking trail.

        The "Dr. Karl Bäßler Trail" is an idyllic, shady path that leads approximately 1.5 km from the Königsmühle mill along the Kaltenbrunnertalbach stream (with several small bridges) up to the Kaltenbrunner Hütte.         "Dr. Karl Bäßler, wine chemist and head of a wine laboratory, was born on November 23, 1895, in Mannheim and died on July 8, 1964, in Heidelberg. As chairman of the Pollichia, nature conservation officer, and board member of the PWV, he was an avid hiker, conservationist, and landscape manager.
