The Schwedenschanze is located near Eichelsdorf on the crest of the Haßberge and thus also on the Rennweg. A ring wall that was built around 500 BC and was probably already used by the Celts as a place of worship and refuge. Today you can enjoy a great view over the Haßberge from a 28 meter high observation tower and stop off at the Dr.-Krahmer Hütte.

The ring-like fortifications of this defense system can still be seen in the terrain as earth walls and their function can be reconstructed.
