1x around the Cappenberger See is attractive in every season. The circumnavigation only takes a good 1/4 hour, but there is a lot of forest around it and there are numerous possibilities to extend the short walk into an extensive hike, if you want to. There are plenty of parking spaces at the lake itself (Wehrenboldstraße), a bus also stops there, and it's only a short, brisk walk from the train station.
