The memorial to Otto von Arnim, who fell in battle against Napoleon in Blumberg in 1813 and is buried in Werneuchen, is located in the Blumberg landscape park designed by Lenné on the B158. It depicts a horseman (Saint George?) fighting a dragon.
On the front is clearly recognizable: "As the first in the fight for Germany's liberation, a faithful son of Mark Otto von Arnim A. D. H. Suckow fell here on home soil, on February 18, 1813". The inscription on the back under the eagle is more likely to be overlooked: "This monument was set by the owner of Blumberg, who was of the same sex" and a date 19...?
