Hiking
This is the main gate to the castle. It is believed that it dates back to 1662. When the castle was first built, the main gate was a Yagura-Mon (two-story gate), similar to today's. For the emperor's visit, the gate was converted into a one-story gate so that nobody could look down on the emperor from above, which was a taboo in Japan for a long time.
