The commemoration of 1848 is probably intended to commemorate the Schleswig-Holstein uprising against Denmark. In Hesse, memorials rarely commemorate this event. The memorial is located in the middle of residential buildings and, despite its dimensions, is perhaps only noticeable at second glance.

On the main road opposite the fire station there is a memorial with the names of those who died in three wars. In a semicircular wall are 18 fields with inscriptions (hardly legible) for one fallen soldier of the First World War. In the middle an inscribed plaque with a cross for the victims of both world wars.

On the right and left side of the street there is a bronze plaque with the names of the dead, missing and expellees of World War II.

In the center of the complex is a black obelisk crowned by a golden Hessian lion. This memorial commemorates the fallen and combatants of 1848-49, 1866 and 1870-71.
