Tips
Waffenhammer goes back to a former hammer mill. It was built in 1829 by the blacksmiths Georg Christoph Deubner and Johann Nicol Deubner. In 1850 it was acquired by the armourer Georg Albrecht Illing, whose descendants operated it until around 1912. In contrast to the iron hammers, where iron was mainly produced, equipment, weapons and tools were produced in the hammer forges.
