On the right bank of the Ourthe, the Sy rocks are used by mountaineers. The main ones are located upstream of the village and are called the Cathedral Rock and the Nandouire Rock. These limestone rocks, part of the Calestienne, have been included on the list of classified real estate heritage of Ferrières since 1942 and are listed as a site of great biological interest.

These same rocks were painted by Richard Heintz who resided for many years in the village and died on the other bank of the Ourthe in Verlaine-sur-Ourthe (Tohogne - currently Durbuy) (commemorative plaque) but his death was recorded in Sy (then commune of Vieuxville).
