The Gendarmenmarkt is one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. It is dominated by three monumental buildings: the German Cathedral, the French Cathedral and the Konzerthaus (formerly the Schauspielhaus). The eventful history of the Gendarmenmarkt can be traced back to the 17th century - and each individual historical phase has left its mark to this day.

My recommendations:
1. The German Cathedral houses, among other things, the exhibition of the German Bundestag. The free guided tour is also highly recommended.
2. The French Cathedral is home to the Huguenot Museum and the 360-degree panorama from the viewing platform offers a great view of the city's most important sights: Berlin Cathedral, Alexander Tower, Humboldt Forum, Red Town Hall, Reichstag, Charité, etc.
3. Guided tours are also offered in the concert hall (45 minutes, 3 euros per person).
4. Visit to the Rausch Chocolate House / CHOCOLATE CAFE
