The foundation stone for the Eichenbach Chapel was laid in July 1937 and dedicated to the 14 Holy Helpers in Need.

The Holy Helpers are a group of 14 saints whom the people call upon in times of need and danger. Their veneration spread from Vierzehnheiligen (Franconia) during the great plague epidemics and social hardships of the 14th century.
The 14 wooden figures from Eichenbach come from the chapel of Maßholder, which was formerly a farm near the confluence of the Eichenbach and the Ahr.
