Road Cycling Highlight
The Furkapass is one of the most impressive and beautiful passes in the Alps. Those who make it up here will be rewarded at 2429m with a unique mountain panorama and a view of the Rhone glacier. Already in Roman times, the pass was committed, a street was first in 1866.
In 1964, some film scenes of the James Bond film "Goldfinger" with Sean Connery as Bond were filmed on the Furkapass. The scenes in Switzerland are now regarded as classics of Bond history and were therefore cited in later films.
