The devil saddle (also: devil saddle horse) is a Kallmünzer bei Weißenberg around which various legends and legends have grown up. In one version, a servant from the Upper Palatinate happens to hear the spell the devil speaks when he rides his "saddle" during his visit. He took the opportunity to climb the "saddle" and rose in the air towards home. However, he quickly became scared and afraid: he called the Lord God and the Virgin Mary for help. His prayer was answered, he landed on the ground. The Teufelsssattel has been in this place ever since. In the list of geotopes in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach, the Kallmünzer is listed as "Teufelssattelpferd" NE by Weißenberg under the number 371R045.

Another old legend tells: Once the prince of hell was at the Munich Oktoberfest. Since he missed the opportunity there to start his journey home to hell, he quickly picked up a boulder from the Oberland. He sat on it and flew northward, leaving the smell of sulfur and soot behind him, and landed at this point not far from Weißenberg. Nobody knows why he ended up here.
