In winter, when there is enough snow, these sections of the route are shared by cross-country ski trails. Be careful, the Kuchental is cut relatively narrowly between steep slopes that drain into the valley floor. This means that some sections of the path in the Kuchental are very muddy (icy in winter) almost all year round.
