Kreuzpfuhl Pond

Little Pfuhl is located in the Weißensse district, directly on Pistoriusstraße

The small lake is located in the Weissensee district directly on Pistorius-Straße.

At the beginning of the 20th century, extensive housing projects began, as many Berliners moved to the suburb of Weissensee. The area at Kreuzpfuhl was planned as the new town center and was given the name of the municipal quarter. The first building to be built for the expanded municipality was the community forum at Kreuzpfuhl, a representative, park-like center. In the 21st century, the Frei-Zeit-Haus e. V. association has found its home in this building. The community forum and the residential buildings at Woelckpromenade 2-7 are now recognized as a masterpiece of urban planning and architecture by the architect Carl James Bühring. However, a new center never came to be developed.
