De Banjaard is a bungalow park northwest of Kamperland. The name derives from a dreaded sandbar that used to be located north. "De Banjaard" consists of two parts, the old part "Oude Banjaard", created in 1959 with a street layout in the shape of a figure eight (Vinkenlaan and Patrijzenlaan), and an extension. The Banjaardstrand, one of the cleanest in the Netherlands, lies between the Veerse Dam, which was closed in 1961 and connects the former island of Noord-Beveland with Walcheren, and the 9 km long Oosterscheldekering storm surge barrier, which has connected Noord-Beveland with Schouwen-Duiveland since October 1986 .

Here on the dam, the Banjaard holiday park is always very busy with pedestrians and day trippers crossing. Therefore, racing cyclists should ride very carefully here. Nevertheless, the bike path and the view is awesome!
