The Friedrich Heinrich colliery is a former coal mine in Kamp-Lintfort. The mine became part of RAG's West mine in 2001. The Friedrich Heinrich colliery together with the Niederberg colliery formed the western border for hard coal mining in the Ruhr area. The mine was named after Baron von Diergardt. The mining fields awarded to him were named after his first names Friedrich and Heinrich. In 2020, the State Garden Show Kamp-Lintfort 2020 took place on the former mine site of the Friedrich-Heinrich 1/2 pit. The resulting "Mine Park" has been a new anchor point on the Route of Industrial Heritage since March 2021. The colliery and the old settlement were already part of theme route 17: Rhenish Mining Route.Reference and link to full article:

A nice area in conjunction with the mine park. Recommended in conjunction with a tour, but I wouldn't come here just for that.
