The stony path is a highlight and a welcome change from the stuttering slopes here.

Reminds a bit of the Eckerloch, but shorter and not so exhausting!

If you climb the easy path and descend the difficult path, you will make a good choice. ;-)

great climb to the aft man, well worth it

Shortest ascent of Königskrug. Sure-footedness required, more difficult in snow and wet conditions. Due to the bark beetle damage, the forest can be very dangerous, especially in strong winds.

Beautiful ascent, sure-footedness required. For the descent, I would not necessarily long here, as well as in the rain and snow. Peaked in a great vantage point. However, the path is lined with trees, which are rotten because of strong Borkenkäferbefalls. Wind tends to be too dangerous.

The trail leads from Königskrug to Oderbrück. The eight-man is crossed. It's a rugged root path. In between, just do not know it's the path of a creek bed or the contour line. It's fun to find out.

Very nice path, partly through rocky path through the high forest. Gates footwear / walking shoes required. Not suitable for strollers etc.

The climb to the Achtermannhöhe is particularly difficult when the snow is high

Very nice and stony ascent from Oderbrück up to the rocky summit of the Achtermann. Still more of an insider tip and not nearly as crowded as the Brocken, which can be seen from the summit in good weather.

Depending on the direction of the climb or descent, but always sure-footed, especially in wet conditions, is required.

We also chose the “difficult” route as a descent, but didn't find it difficult. It's just a little uneven due to the roots. Surefootedness is required, but we didn't have to use our horse mackerel.

Is a bit demanding in terms of the nature of the soil, but beautiful for the atmosphere

You should be sure-footed on this path. It is very stony with a few roots.
The ascent to Achtermannshöhe is definitely a tough one on this route. How good that we came from the Achtermannshöhe and thus had the descent on this path in front of us. Here you can experience nature in all its splendor. Simply terrific.

A path cannot be more natural, but it is worth walking.
Sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are essential.
