The iconic Antwerp Central train station has been voted the most beautiful train station in the world by The Telegraph and Newsweek, among others. Antwerp residents call the station, because of its appearance, also the Railway Cathedral.

Antwerp Central Station, originally a large Art Nouveau terminal, now has three floors (including for the new London/Paris - Amsterdam express line). A massive reconstruction project that preserved almost all of its historic fabric. The historic railway line south of the station, which is still in use for regional traffic, is also worth seeing with its ornamental arches. Directly at the west exit is the famous "Diamond Mile." Frequent connections to all major neighboring cities.

Antwerp Central Station, also known as the Central Station or Railway Cathedral by the Antwerp residents, was inaugurated in 1905. The building consists of a steel platform roof and an eclectic-style stone station building. In 2007 a tunnel opened under the station, which means that Antwerp Central is no longer a terminal station. The Central Station has been voted several times as one of the most beautiful stations in the world.
