The old IJzerlaan bridge over the Albert Canal was replaced in 2017 by a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge. The new bicycle bridge connects seamlessly with the bicycle routes to and around the city, such as the Ringfietspad, the Singelfietspad and the bicycle ostrade from Antwerp to Essen.
