The Nachtigallental is one of the most beautiful routes from Königswinter up to Drachenburg Castle and the Drachenfels ruins. This is a ravine flanked by steep slopes that runs along the banks of a stream. In some places holes can be seen in the slopes. These are entrances to cavities where wine used to be stored.
