The town church of Crivitz is a Gothic hall church made of brick with a closed chancel. The late Gothic net vault in the chancel is remarkable. The sacristy from the 15th century is attached on the north side. It is provided with a ribbed vault. This part is now used as a winter church. The church has a 40m high 15th century rectangular tower to the west.

There are no traces of the first church in Crivitz. The foundation remains in the sacristy probably belong to a successor. The current building was probably built in brick at the end of the 14th century. While retaining the same floor plan, it underwent a number of changes over the centuries. The church received its final appearance today after the tower and roof were rebuilt after the town fire in 1660.
