The Lößnitzgrundbahn has been running from Radebeul via Moritzburg to Radeberg since 1884. The train, which the locals lovingly call the Lößnitz dachshund, crosses 11 stations and 19 bridges. The highlight, however, is the 210 m long dam on the Dippelsdorf pond. You can also hike or cycle wonderfully through the Lößnitzgrund, through which the train travels.

Highly recommended with children. The route winds through the Loessnitz valley. Tip: Use the accompanying hiking trail for one stretch!

Beautiful historic train station with a meeting point for the return train as well as refueling the steam locomotive with water in action.

From here you can use the Lößnitzdackel, the historic steam locomotive. The Moritzburg train station is also a good starting point for many hikes and you will usually find one of the rare free parking spaces in Moritzburg.

A historic train station, a great castle, a beautiful landscape. You can even rent bikes. A mobility station paired with industrial history and sustainable forms of mobility.

From January to December, the narrow-gauge railway runs daily with steam trains between Radebeul, Moritzburg and Radeburg.

There are many free parking spaces at the train station, and from there you can walk directly to Moritzburg Castle.
It's a bit far away, but not a problem for hikers.

Good connection to the train with car parking. You can also experience the maintenance and refueling of the locomotive as well as the importation of the counter train.

The station building of Moritzburg station is a real eye-catcher. The Lößnitztalbahn runs daily between Moritzburg and Radebeul. (Loessnitz dachshund). A real must for rail enthusiasts.
