The area around the Eddersheim barrage is diverse. There is the Main including the "side arm" of the Main lock and the Main foreland, which was embellished by the Rhine-Main Regional Park after the abandonment of the former Caltex oil refinery in 2004, with its meadows and rest areas to discover.
