The La Tosca viewpoint offers beautiful panoramic views of the Atlantic coast of the north of the island, as well as of the typical vegetation of the area. Especially, you can see many dragon trees, as well as cacti and agaves.

The tour is a section of the GR130 long-distance hiking trail in the north of La Palma, wild, remote and rugged, simply beautiful! The villages of Franceses and Gallegos are separated by deep gorges, demanding hikes on mountain slopes, beginners and hikers with a fear of heights should use hiking sticks, it goes up and down on narrow paths! Authentic and intact landscape, very varied. In Gallego, visit the village bar Viveres Gallegos and look at the black and white photos on the wall that document the construction of the GR130. If you want to save yourself the last hacky 350 meters in altitude, get off here after 6 km and take the bus or taxi back. But then you miss the great view of the sea and the cliffs. We took the rental car to the bus stop in Franceses and the bus to Barlovento. The bus stops at the signs. The way is very well signposted. That alone is an experience when the locals get on. It took us a good 6 hours with breaks! The times given by Komoot are unrealistic. The path is made in such a way that you can always hike, even if we sometimes didn't think so when looking into the distance. Partly steep passages. It is essential to wear good walking shoes!

Nice viewpoint of the Atlantic, several barrancos and the rich flora (dragon trees!).
