These are boundary stones of the Duchy of Braunschweig (HB) and the Kingdom of Hanover (KH) that run through the Oderwald, numbered from north to south and ascending. There are border markings from around 1824 when the Diocese of Hildesheim merged with the Kingdom of Hanover.
