The Walkenbrückentor was first mentioned in 1339 as part of the medieval city fortifications. The other five gates of the Coesfeld city fortifications no longer exist and the Walkenbrückentor was also badly damaged towards the end of the Second World War. Today it is home to the city museum with extremely interesting exhibitions. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful, well-preserved city gate, unfortunately there are still cars driving through. The city museum is also located in it and is well worth a visit.

On the Mühlenplatz The Flute Player, Jits Bakker, 1986. Probably because of the partner De Bilt (Nl)),
St. Ludgerus, Bishop of Münster. on the bridge behind the city gate.
Behind Ludgerus, on the weir, there is a swimmer. (can be seen from the garden to the right of the gate.
We saw that bull unpainted before.
