Since the end of 1988, operations on the Möckmühl-Dörzbach branch line have been suspended due to defects in the superstructure. In 1997, the Ruchsen - Möckmühl section was deconsecrated and dismantled; a cycle path is now located there. The facilities between Widdern and Dörzbach are still in place and are still dedicated to rail operations. Operations on the old tracks are not possible; extensive renovation work is required.
