R6 Cycle Path Near Groß-Rohrheim

The R6 cycle path near Groß-Rohrheim is unfortunately not so nice to drive. Not asphalt, but concrete slabs👎

The official bike path along the dike leads to concrete slabs. For wheels with narrow tires, this section is tiring in the long run. After the power plant but comes again a brisk to driving way.

For people who are out and about with a dog in a bicycle basket: The dog will definitely notice the vibrations of the concrete slabs there. 🤭 Generally it's good to cycle there, but I recommend sun protection for the summer. Especially for the section between Klein-Rohrheim and the beginning / near Biblis, because shade is then in short supply depending on the time. In the blazing midday heat, I personally would probably not drive there at all (anymore). In the mornings and evenings, however, with a bit of luck, deer can be seen crossing the path or all around. There are tons of them there. 🥰
