DB employees have built a boardwalk here from modern materials, which is modeled on the prehistoric boardwalk. At the moment this path still leads through a "peat desert". However, I assume that the area will be renatured. The "nature reserve" signs are already there, even if the excavators have not yet moved away.
A few hundred meters away there is a sign pointing to a former boardwalk from around 40 BC. Chr.... the plank path (with planks made from recycled plastic) has now been completed. The second part leads through an area closer to nature, and at the end there is a beautiful viewing platform with a view over the expanse of the moor. Several display boards provide information about the extensive archaeological work that was carried out here and the sometimes spectacular discoveries.

A beautiful boardwalk has been recreated on the former ancient prehistoric route. Very nicely laid out with lots of break benches and information.
