The old town hall on Langen Strasse: “Prussian” is the name given to the architectural style in which our old town hall was predominantly built in 1904/05. In addition, there are medieval elements such as bay windows, turrets and the gable reminiscent of brick Gothic.

The architectural style in which our Old Town Hall was predominantly built in 1904/05 is known as "Prussian." It also incorporates medieval elements such as oriel windows, turrets, and a gable reminiscent of Brick Gothic. Until 1927, the building on Lange Straße primarily served as a post office with an attached town hall. The local police station was also located there, as evidenced by two holding cells with outhouses. The former council chamber remains a true gem, now used for art exhibitions and events. A large gate for horse-drawn carriages is a traditional feature.
