Tips

  • The Rosenheimer Lay is an abandoned quarry, which was formerly also called Kotzenrother Lay, in which basalt was mined until 1976 and is now a wet biotope.

Purpose of protection: "The preservation of the abandoned quarry with its water and shallow water zones and its steep slopes as a habitat for rare and endangered animal species, especially amphibians, reptiles and birds, as well as for scientific reasons".
