Very elegant way to get between the highway on the other side of the Rhine.
The total length of the bridge is about 830 m. The first construction was started in 1938. After the bridge was destroyed in the war, it is in 1950 again put into operation.

A well-secured bike path over the Rhine, but steep stairways with a rail to push the wheel.

Between the two lanes you can cross the Rhine as a pedestrian / cyclist. However, the wheel can only be carried up / down stairs or pushed; For older people sometimes very exhausting.

With a little muscle power you can push your bike up and down the ramp well. It drives very well on the bridge

The stairs after the rails are quite steep, muscle strength is required here, you certainly won't push a heavy bike up here. But it can be done, I just carried the bike down, it's safer. Strange experience of being on the highway as a cyclist ...
