The Church of Lazarus (Larnaka) (also Agios-Lazaros) is a church in Larnaka, Cyprus, built in the late 9th century. It is located near the port and is a Greek Orthodox Church of the Autonomous Church of Cyprus, dedicated to St. Lazarus of Bethany, who allegedly served as bishop here for 30 years. It is one of the few Byzantine style multi-domed churches in Cyprus. Wikipedia.

Joachim Schäfer writes about this saint, known from the biblical accounts: "...according to which Lazarus, after his resurrection [Jesus's call to the man already buried in a rock tomb, "Lazarus, come out," is recorded in the Gospel of John 11:43] – at which he was 30 years old – moved to Kition – present-day Larnaca – in Cyprus and lived there for another 30 years. When Paul arrived in Cyprus with Barnabas, he met Lazarus and appointed him bishop; thus, he became the city's first bishop. In 890, a sarcophagus bearing the inscription "Lazarus, the friend of Christ" was discovered there; under Emperor Leo VI – who reigned from 886 to 912 – a church dedicated to Lazarus was built over the site, today the main church of Larnaca."
(from the Ecumenical Dictionary of Saints)
