Bike Touring Highlight
In the middle of the green and yet also in the middle of the city. A hike here is always a pleasure! But the Prater Hauptallee is also one of the most famous training routes in the city for runners and cyclists. It is centrally located, easily accessible by public transport and fully illuminated around the clock. If the four kilometers straight ahead are boring anyway, you can choose one of the many branches. Everything you need for daily fitness in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Thumbs up, great!

The Prater main avenue must be seen and experienced. During the week there are many athletes (mainly runners). At the weekend it is often very busy due to its central location.

There is always something going on on the water meadow! Here you can relax in the green, in the middle of the Prater, or listen to live music

A very long avenue, which is very busy used by the Viennese for cycling, jogging or other sports activities. You get directly to the Prater.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter on this street you are always right for sports of every kind of convalescence attempt to the highly professional Vienna Marathon! Like-minded people are always on the way to their endeavor you can sit up and measure. The trees are never so hot but you never get caught in the biting wind. There is little reason not to come here 🤗

... always happy, because there is a very good restaurant at the end of the main avenue. "The Old Hunter House" offers Viennese cuisine - as it has been known for decades. The pikeperch on braised vegetables is my favorite.

The Hauptallee (also colloquially: Prater-Hauptallee) is a 4.4 km long avenue in the Vienna Prater. It leads from the Praterstern to the Lusthaus and was created in 1538 by felling in the alluvial forest to create a connection between the Augarten and the imperial hunting area in the Prater. The dead straight avenue consists of the main roadway and bridle paths and pedestrian promenades on both sides. In between, several rows of chestnut trees were planted. The main avenue has been in the 2nd district of Vienna, Leopoldstadt, since the suburbs were incorporated in 1850. (Source Wikipedia)

This beautiful avenue leads 4.5 km through Vienna and is wonderful for cycling. At the end of the avenue at the level of the Prater you should pay attention to the banner in the middle of the street !!!!! this strengthens the culture of remembrance of a dark time.
