    Hiking

Hirano Kuniomi (1828-1864) was a politician and warrior of the Fukuoka clan. He was active in the fight against the Edo Shogunate and against the entry of foreigners to Japan. He was arrested during the coup d'état of Shimazu Hisamitsu in 1863. Shortly thereafter, he was released and was involved in another coup attempt on September 30, 1863, when he set about organizing a peasant uprising in the Hyogo region. He was defeated, captured and executed.
