Hiking
Construction of this public park in central Fukuoka started in 1986 and was completed in 1989. Together with Across Fukuoka it forms a large forest and is used as an oasis in the city by the people who come here for recreation. The cherry blossom area that stretches along the Yakuin Shinkawa River has 50 Somei-Yoshino and Yama-Zakura cherry trees, and this is a popular location for Hanami cherry blossom visit parties, as the trees form a flower tunnel each year.
