This memorial cross commemorates John Charles Eisenhauer, 2nd Lieutenant in the 9th U.S. Infantry Division. Eisenhauer had been missing since September 27, 1944, but was found working in the forest in the spring of 1948 and then buried in the American military cemetery in Neupré, Belgium.
