Wasserfall in der Wolfsschlucht

The Wolfsschlucht is definitely a change as part of a hike. There is a waterfall and bridges and wooden stairs.

Great location, one of the highlights on the cave and ravine path!

Shortly behind Wassenach, fed ao. from mineral springs, the Tönissteiner Bach springs. First, he passes an idyllic trout pond, to fall directly behind several meters into the depths and then wildly snaking his way to the Brohlbach looking through volcanic ash.

Highlight at the end of the Wolfsschlucht. Water-bearing even in dry times. Pleasantly cool in the gorge.

When you consider that the whole of the current Brohl valley was once covered with tuff / pumice / trass due to the eruption of the Laacher See volcano, it is amazing how this waterfall and the subsequent stream have carved themselves there over time - a process that continues to this day.

The Wolfsschlucht gorge and the waterfall are next to the Trasshöhlen, which are only a few minutes away, the top attractions in Brohltal.

In June 2020, a large part of the slope broke off and optically changed the valley at the waterfall.

The Wolfsschlucht near Kell is a great hiking destination, to the left and right of the path there are huge rock faces and there is also a waterfall to see!

This is reached via a staircase that leads down from the street. Or at the end of the Wolfsschlucht. Depending on which direction you are walking.

Great tour. Highly recommended. A little tip: if you go counterclockwise, the climbs are not as steep. Above all, the descent or the ascent to / from the Brohl Valley is a tough one.

Somewhat difficult to discover in dry periods - should be easier to see and more exciting after a few days of rain.

You can enjoy nature very beautifully at the waterfall.
