This beautiful and varied round of Königswinter is sure to happen again on a sunny day, because after the beautiful weather of the last few days, the icy temperatures today were not necessarily subject to an entertainment tax. Thank God you can rely on the Löwenburger Hof. There is always something warm in the stomach and a great friendliness 😊🙏.
Speaking of reliability: The German prohibition mentality also sets reliable standards in the 7 mountains. Of course, not everyone has to climb cross-country through the mountains, but why hiking trails that have been used for a hundred years (Ofenkaulen) should suddenly be incompatible with nature remains the secret of the responsible authorities. The width of the path and the number of footprints documents very clearly how unrealistic some decisions turn out to be. With this in mind, best regards from a member of this nature 😜

Such a sunny day ennobles every 13th.
On the tour via Alfter and Berkum there was plenty of light and the first spring fever on two wheels😇. After a short break at the "Gilgens" in Berkum☕️🥧, I was back in Beuel in time for sunset.
      Conclusion: 13 + 🚵‍♂️ + 🌞 = 🍀

The small Victory Bridge with the Sieglinde Inn is always an eye-catcher.
If you are looking for a short panoramic tour in the winter months and don't feel like ankle-deep mud, you've come to the right place. We liked it, even if Sieglinde was very closed today🙄. Alongside beautiful views, there was plenty of cabaret along the way👏👏👏. Speaking of the path: it is paved almost everywhere and always so wide that you can comfortably walk next to each other. While chatting you can hear this and that ... and almost always forget the noises of the nearby A560🏎🏎🏎😇

95km were still missing: So on to the year-end rally "around Bonn".
The round via Kottenforst, Berkum, the Siebengebirge to Sieg was an experience even without the sun. On the way there was again enough reason to laugh, be amazed and cry (photos). And almost by the way, I bagged the last 95km to my destination: 2021 = 10,000km by MTB🥳. Thank you for many suggestions here at Komoot, a fall-free year 2021 and incredible experiences in the Rhineland, on the way to Berlin and in South Tyrol🙏😇.

I just can't resist the Bopparder Hamm: a great view, little wind and a lap to the Gedeonseck is a must for me anyway😎. This time, however, I got lost in a wild boar trail. So it's better to follow the signposted path to the Gedeonseck.
To top it off, I got my third Covid vaccination afterwards, because "I prefer to believe scientists who might be wrong sometimes than insane people who believe they are scientists" 😜

      3Where. Costa Rica🦜 + JetLeg break😱. But today: finally out again🚵‍♂️.
The start was in the fog, but the ascent to Petersberg was worth it🌞🌞. The view in inversion weather - so great😎.
Conclusion: When it comes to parrots, CR🇨🇷 has the edge, but cycle paths: 🇩🇪👍🙏.
Now, please convince a few people who are not vaccinated, then I will withdraw my application to leave the country🤣🤣🤣

🇨🇷 Our last adventure in Costa Rica: Kayak tour on the "Quebrada Ernesto" near Punta Uva. As a joker there was a little kayak dangling in the Caribbean to "Cueva Punta Uva", a really beautiful rock breakthrough and of course a last swim in this beautiful bay😇.
This time it wasn't the abundance of new animal experiences, but pure enjoyment that we were able to share with many locals.
Good bye Costa Rica - for me it was the most eventful vacation ever. A great country: hospitable, safe, very clean, such nice people, nature without end and animal experiences that I will feed on for a very long time.
Muchos gracias for "pura vida" 🇨🇷😇🙏

How many animals can you see on 3.2km?
Incredible!!! In the evening we can hardly believe what we have observed and experienced. Today we arrived at the Atlantic, our last stop in the jungle of CR🇨🇷. In addition to the Caribbean flair and the very relaxed way of life, there is the Cuhaita-NP right on the Atlantic. We didn't have a guide, because you can tell by the number of raised cell phones where there is something to see. The tourists are well distributed and the Costa Ricans use the stand at the NP for family trips or for swimming😊.

This will be the shortest tour I've ever posted - I promise🙈.
      Let's go: Yesterday sea level 30 ° C
      Today Quentzal-NP 2,700m 8 ° -14 ° C🥶.
Maybe yesterday I shouldn't have believed the guide about the "drinking water" in the jungle, at least today there was an extremely good reason not to move further than 300m from the lodge😜. What luck that the hummingbirds made for a varied day here of all places. In addition, I actually saw the first quetzal - unfortunately it was lying pretty dead on the meadow in front of our lodge😥

From our jungle lodge we could observe several crocodiles in the lagoon every day, which were up to 4m long😱.
The idea of getting closer to these crocodiles by canoeing failed due to the abundance of fish in the lagoon (full crocodiles apparently have an extremely miserable need for communication). So my only crocodile turned out to be a rotten piece of wood🤣🤣 ... and the rest of the community probably dozed off in the broad belt of reeds in the midday sun😇.
It was nice anyway, because there were plenty of water birds, eagles and insects to watch.
