In the Blaubeuren monastery courtyard, just a few meters from the Blautopf, lies the only monks' bath in Germany, a cultural and historical jewel. The house, built around 1510, originally served two purposes: the ground floor housed the bathing room for the monks, while the first floor served as a guest house for noble guests. The culturally and historically valuable rooms now house the Blaubeuren Local History Museum - a unique exhibition space for evidence of Blaubeuren's town history and definitely worth seeing just for the medieval dry-paintings in the ballroom.
