For flood protection, a 400 m long dike was built along the old town center of Lieser, which got its name from the tributary of the same name to the Moselle. It is accessible by a wide path and from there you have the best view of the old stone houses that line up closely. It also offers a great view of the castle, today a 5 * luxury hotel, and its castle garden. If you look towards the Moselle, here is the big Puricelli Gate (Pucelli Beach)
