Hiking
From the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, the castle served as the seat of Warmia bishops and is one of the most remarkable monuments of Gothic architecture in the region. Right next to it, there is an outer bailey that used to be a palace.

The construction of the Episcopal Castle Heilsberg was completed around 1400. It was the residence of the Warmia bishops until 1795. Nicolaus Copernicus worked here from 1504-1510 as the personal physician of his uncle, Bishop Lukas von Watzenrode.
