The ten-hectare central pond is the second largest managed fish pond in the Riddagshausen nature reserve. The young fish are introduced in the spring when the pond is filled with water from the Weddeler Graben. These include carp, pike, zander, eel and rudd. They manage without additional feeding and are sold as food fish in autumn. In November the communication pond will be drained.

The middle pond can be easily walked around. The fisherman even has delicious smoked fish from their own production.

Some of the fish ponds are used extensively, including the Kreuzteich, Mittelteich and Neuer Bleeksteich to the east, as well as the Lagesteich and Spitzer Teich to the south-east of the monastery.
The smaller ponds Wiedings- and Hopfenteich serve as rearing ponds for young fish.
Other ponds, such as the large Schapenbruchteich, further to the east, and the smaller ponds such as the Schapensteich and Reinertsteich, have been taken out of use and left to develop as naturally as possible.
The almost 20-hectare Schapenbruchteich is located in the north-east of the pond area.
