The Twingischlucht has long been part of the route from the Goms over the Albrun Pass to Piedmont, there are even remnants of an old Roman road. But it was not until the 1930s that a driveable road emerged, which today is regarded as an important element of cultural history and is an engineering masterpiece. It became superfluous as a transport connection after the road tunnel was built in 1964, and is now a pedestrian and cycle path where you can experience the impressive scenery of the Twingi Gorge - especially in summer during the LandArt Twingi.
