The Laggera begins in Fieschertal and ends in Lax. The path follows the route of a former water pipe that was used in earlier times to irrigate the meadows with glacier water.

A document from 1336 describes the construction of the Fiescher Wyssa. It was built a few meters below the Lagger Wyssa to avoid draining its water.
The water flowed openly over long stretches until around 2010. After that, the aqueduct was abandoned. In 2023-2024, the conduit was repaired and has been flowing again since then.
