Tips
The RevierRoute mine trip is a beautiful tour through lots of greenery. Someone claim again that the Ruhr area is just gray and ugly. We can't leave it like this. There are well-implemented renaturation measures on the many former mine sites. The varied bike tour leads through beautiful green oases and past interesting industrial monuments. In any case, I can recommend that you “experience” mining yourself.
