After the morning Olympic highlights on TV, I had to get some exercise. The short run through the woods did me good. But it wasn't enough for a medal. 😃

Today's bike tour (test ride) takes us to the southern part of Duisburg, to Entenfang, then on to Wittlaer and back. The tour is nothing special, because I have to change the chain every two years and this time also the cassette, so this ride was more or less a test ride.

My goal for today's run near Kettwig, despite the wintry conditions, was to start from the parking lot at Hugenpoet Castle. The route largely follows the Kettwig Panorama Trail. Apart from a few steep sections that I would have planned differently, the loop is easily walkable.
I hope everyone enjoys this run.

I had a wonderful walk to Entenfang today in glorious winter conditions. Unfortunately, Jacky's kiosk, where I would have loved to have a hot chocolate, was closed.
FYI: Jacky's kiosk won't reopen until February 7th.

This beautiful snowy landscape near Kettwig is simply magnificent. While the weather wasn't ideal for taking stunning photos, this lovely loop was perfect for a short hike in the fresh air. The tour begins at the parking lot in front of the Kettwig swimming pool. It follows wonderful hiking trails, including

I'd been wanting to do this beautiful hike to the Dhünn Reservoir for a long time. I started my hike from one of the many parking areas for hikers. Well-maintained paths lead directly to Altenberg and its cathedral. From there, the trail continues along the stream to the Dhünn Reservoir. My destination
